Basicly, if it can be made to look human with a long cloak, a bit of cosmetic surgury, and maybe some gloves, it's a humanoid. If your race fits into this group, choose a second group that also applies to it. Mammalian (This group includes all races who have fur or hair of some sort. They often give birth to live young, and many are warm-blooded. This group includes Torpals and Kazea!) Body cover : Furred Hair : Fur Eyes : Two, Round Pupil Body characteristics : Horns, Fangs, Claws (Section 2 Variables) Tech level : 8=Mid Space (FTL Invented. Colonize Distant Stars. Most of our races are here) (Section 3 Variables) Government type : Gerontocracy (ruled by the elders) Religion : Agnosticism (there's no way to know if God exists or not.) Won't... DIE!), Warm blooded biology Biology
Galdeen anatomy is has just all the required organs except for several things. One is that they have a extra heart, liver and lung, allowing them not to get tired as quickly, to be extremely healthy and not dying if one of the hearts is damaged. Second is that their mouth's teeth are made to eat meat, not plants. But they do have few herbs that they ingest for medical purposes and grind for herbal teas. Third is that they have clawed hands and feet which was useful during their period of time as predators of Galieen. Galdeen hunters hunted during the day and night, so their eyes adjust more quickly when in the dark areas or during the night cycle of a planet, but it isn't really night vision. When Galdeen eat, they require high calorie food because of the all energy their bodies use, meaning its very rare to see a "fat" Galdeen. Galdeen have almost very good memory, they can remember things well that happened decades ago, and they have a surprising balance, even carrying a heavy object. Primitive HistoryThe Galdeen's earliest ancestor was a type of air-breathing shark that often hunted in packs to get their food, even more so when hunting the more larger ocean creatures. When they life began developing onto land, the Galdeen moved onto it too, evolving legs and later arms and hands evolved to their current form, their now fully formed brains started thinking beyond their usual instincts. A pack of Galdeen were attempting to catch a creature that started running away, in desperation, one of them picked up a large stick and threw it at the fleeing animal. The stick hit the animal in the hind leg, crippling it. That Galdeen pack tried doing the same thing in other hunts which resulted in success, when they met other wandering Galdeen, they told them of the idea and when those Galdeen met other, they told the them the same thing and so on. The now tribes of Galdeen started wandering since they wouldn't get enough food if they stayed in one place. Their first domesticated animal was used as a pack animal and was a herbivore whos main diet was grass. They then attempted to tried to domesticate their main prey, a type of large animal similar to a bull only larger and without horns. When they did manage to domesticate several, they started settling down.

Diplomacy
When the Galdeen started colonizing their surrounding systems, they make sure that just about every starship captain and first officer have basic training in diplomacy. Even though a fully trained diplomatic expert is advised to be the one talking to any newly discovered aliens, the Diplomatic Corps can't put one on every starship, so they'll settle with the captains talking to the aliens until a ambassador can be sent.
When speaking, a Galdeen will attempt to try and find some common ground to work on, like mathematics or something else. Until a successful translation is reached, they will try pointing at him/herself and saying their race's name over and try to use mathematics to talk to any alien until they understand and they will work from there.

StarshipsThe Galdeen have so far, designed two different starships, but have constructed many different versions of them. They made the basic design of the ships to be "all purpose" ships. Ships that are given the designation Type 1 means its the basic template for all other types of the mark. The only thing that remains the same is the basic design. When the Mark 1 Type 1 design was put forward, some jokingly called it a "mothership", but when later types and the Mark 2 ships were designed, Navy members kept calling the ships motherships. Motherships are now the most used nickname of Galdeen starships. For example, a Mark 1 Type 6 starship is a survey ship, having many sensors towers and research labs with a smaller amount of weapons, armor, shields, and room for cargo while a Mark 1, Type 8 ship will have its middle section extended to make room for a extra cargo bay for freighter types or a hanger for escort carrier types with point defense guns and better shielding. Mark 1 military types are also general larger than their counterparts that other races have, ranging from the size of a large destroyer to a light cruiser, depending on the amount of weapons, armor, and shields the type has. A Mark 2 has a more military oriented design for either battleship types, and carrier types, even large transport types if needed for planetary invasion. Sizes range from heavy cruiser to carrier. (Note: The battleship I drew has other weapons like point defense that I didn't add.)

Combat
In terms of numbers, the Galdeen Army and Navy doesn't have as many numbers as other races militaries, but they make up for that disadvantage in well armed and equipped forces.
In Space tactics, a Galdeen fleet will enter maximum firing range at 5 million kilometers and will open up with lance weaponry, fusion missiles, and launch fighters engage the enemy and attempt to weaken the target fleet. At 2 million kilometers, the fleet will start slowing down and fire their rail guns, rail cannons, and fire multi-megaton nuclear missiles to throw off the target fleet's aim, fighters start returning to their motherships and switch to anti-fighter loadouts, carriers and escort carriers start breaking off and hold at around 1.5 million kilometers. At 1 million kilometers, the remaining Galdeen fleet will cease decelerate and split to their separate targets.
If several Mark 1 ships are targeting a single enemy ship, the Mark 1s will start circling the target like a pack of predators and target separate systems, like engines, FTL drive, weapons, and shields. Once those systems are destroyed, they will target more vital areas like the bridge and main generator.
When a battleship type engages a target, they will attempt get within five thousand kilometers to bring their broadside about and we all know how damaging broadsides are, so I won't go into it.
A tactic called Impactor Tactic the recently made by a fleet commander that was assaulting a pirate warlord's asteroid base. The warlord had equipped the base with a outrageous amount of shield generators all operating at once, and by the time they did finally get through, the Galdeen fleet would've been destroyed by the base's cannons. The commander decided to attempt the tactic which was purely theoretical at the time. The missile destroyer Forward Unto the Stars was ordered to load a modified missile and fire it at the asteroid base with the fleet feeding it targeting data and moving out of the firing line. When the destroyer fired, the results exceeded expectations. Not only was the shield taken down, the kinetic force was enough to punch through the base and out the other side, taking their reactor core with it. The result was a hole going right through the base and with the reactor core was simply gone, the station powered down and the warlord was captured. Since then, the Impactor Tactic was used against similar asteroid bases and even powerful alien warships.
In Ground tactics, Galdeen troops usually armed with large shoulder-mounted automatic rail guns with a 200 round cylinder with 4 more on their upper leg armor. Because of a Galdeen's strength, they aren't as nearly as cumber-some and they're made with light weight materials.
Upon landing, Galdeen troopers and armored vehicles will deploy from dropships and establish a beachhead. In the face of heavy resistance, a precision orbital bombardment or a airstrike to either totally destroy them or soften them up enough to advance. For tactics in various types of terrain, there are multiple tactics for each type.
I tried being realistic with the space tactics if no one minds. (EDIT) I added the Impactor Tactic.

History
BGW - Before Great War DGW - During Great War AGW - After Great War
circa 3000 BGW - First Tribes appear on Western continents.
circa 2100 BGW - First permanent villages appear.
circa 2000 - 1996 BGW - First history records and soon-to-be primary language appear detailing how to raise the main livestock of Galdeen farms. The independent city of Bomica is established on the only remaining landbridge between the three Western continents.
circa 1983 BGW - Cities of Monki and Tlak in the northern continent start claiming territory to build farms and outposts.
circa 1923 BGW - Trade begins flowing through the city of Bomica between the nearby cities. Bomica prospers and starts growing in size. Bronze Age begins.
circa 1876 BGW - First war begins with the now empires of Monki and Tlak. Heavy casualties for both sides because of poor tactics and leadership on both sides. Tlak emerges victorious and demands Monki turn over several thousand acres of land to them.
circa 1798 - 1791 BGW - Monki declares war on Tlak by attacking the surrounding farms and villages with a surprisingly large army and starves Tlek. Tlak surrendered to Monki and was merged into the Monki empire along with all its former territory, making Monki the sole remaining power on their continent. Similar things happen on the other two continents. Bomica, one of the few cities thats not part of a empire, is targeted by five different empires because of it's strategic position and amount of wealth it has. The empires offer great rewards if Bomica joins them, but refuses them all. Instead, Bomica threatens to embargo all trade from the empires unless they acknowledge Bomica's independence. Since much of their income comes from trade and if its embargoed, they'll be crippled economically. They reluctantly acknowledge the city's independence. The Iron Age begins.
circa 1682 BGW - A asteroid breaks up in orbit around Galieen and showers the Western continents. Only the cities of Bomica, Monki,, Deleen, and Pomia survive intact and with their libraries. Dark Age begins.
circa 1681 BGW - The leaders of the four remaining cities meet finally after numerous attacks by raiders. They decide to educate every member of their cities to preserve knowledge. Walls are built at the three stretches of land that connects Bomica to the three continents. Making a safe heaven to refugees that are fleeing the ruined cities and raiders.
circa 1543 BGW - Pomia's walls are breached by barbarians that have recovered intact siege weapons. City only saved by reinforcements that were sent by Monki that was only twelve miles away.
circa 1379 - 1365 BGW - Technologies begin to be rediscovered by barbarians. They begin establishing new cities and reconstruct a few old ones. New empires begin growing. Bomica, Monki, Pomia, and Deleen make a alliance to defend themselves against the new empires. Several empires make diplomatic agreements with the Alliance for technology and peaceful trade.
circa 900 BGW - Western continents enters a period of relative peace. Very few wars are fought.
circa 400 BGW - Crossbows invented. Sailing ships that are able to handle travels across the oceans are made, several attempt to cross the ocean to find the edge of the world to the East. All but one manage to returns after almost two months after departing with moderate damage and several of each crew gone. Captains say they got caught in a major storm that threw them off course, they tried turning around and were lucky to even be back at the Western continents. The lost ship is declared to be lost at sea.
circa 100 BGW - Compasses invented, but enough bad memories about the previous attempted voyages remain that people not make voyage for a nearly a century.
circa 2 - 1 BGW - A group of ships set out again to the East. They return nearly three months after leaving to report them finding a resource rich island chain. Many exploration ships set out to establish outposts on the newly discovered islands.
circa 0 BGW - 1 DGW - New continent is discovered. A group of ships sets out from the island territories to explore and map it. Only one ship returns with heavy damage with bloodied survivors. They say they discovered a violent nightmare race of sentient lizards that sunk the other two ships using of fire bomb. They were boarded and barely managed to repel them and escape. The islands gear themselves for war by constructing walls and barricades and sends a ship back to the Western continents to report the news and to send for reinforcements. A group of three ships the match look like ships that were built four hundred years ago attack one of the main ports and lands thousands of troops that were packed into the ships, it is repelled only because of the elevation the defenders had and superior tactics. The enemy's looks match the description the survivors gave. The Great War begins.
circa 2 DGW - Large repeating crossbows are invented by a engineer seeking to improve the colonies' weaponry. Numerous enemy raids strike the islands, most are repelled, but some trading posts and colonies are lost. Scouts sent out by the islands report a massive enemy armada approaching the islands. The armada attacks the main port of New Tlak, the repeating crossbows are the only thing keeping the enemy from overrunning the city. Numerous reinforcement ships sent by the Galdeen mainland drive them back.
circa 5 DGW - A dozen enemy ships discovered at Western continents landing their troops. Shes destoryed, but several thousand enemy troops escape into the forest. A week later, the enemy force reemerges to attack a village. When a army sent by a nearby city arrive at night, the enemy is camped in and around the remains of the village. They strike and surprisingly quickly send them into panic. All enemy troops are killed, when the Galdeen troops investigates the village's remains, they discover the lizards ate the villagers. News of this travels quickly all over the Western continents.
circa 6 DGW - Maleeno, leader of Bomica, suggests a joint command to coordinate ships and armies. All agree for fear of the enemy and the Combined Army of the Galdeen is formed.
circa 11 DGW - After five years of endless attacks, enemy attack rate drops sharply allowing scouts to be sent. Over a dozen enemy ports and staging areas are discovered. Attacks from the Combined Army follow up shortly, destorying half of the targets. The other half is attacked two weeks later by the same ships with fresh reinforcements. Severely sets back enemy plans.
circa 12 - 14 DGW - More enemy staging points and cities are discovered. Each are attacked and destroyed within four weeks of discovery. Engineers start attaching iron plates to the side of new ships to repel enemy fire bombs. First early Ironclads are made. War is now longest war fought in Galdeen history.
circa early 15 DGW - Second Eastern continent discovered by scout and raider ships to the south of the enemy mainland with only very light enemy presence. All outposts on that continent is destroyed is used as a staging point for a invasion onto the enemy mainland.
circa later 15 - 27 DGW - Invasion of the mainland is launched with surprising success. Strategists theory the enemy wasn't expecting a invasion which surprise many but may explain why they haven't put up a effective defense so far. Another beachhead into the mainland is established to the west and start pushing deeper into the continent. More reinforcements are sent and start spreading out, destroying every city they see.
circa 28 DGW - Inventors experiment with black sand (gunpowder) and a accident ignites one hundred pounds of gunpowder, killing two dozen. Engineers and Inventors start experimenting ways of using the powder as a bomb.
circa 30 DGW - Last enemy city is surrounded by Galdeen armies. Seven month long siege ends when Galdeen armies retreat and demolition teams on the mountain behind the city explode five hundred pounds of gunpowder. Landslide ensues and buries everything. The Great War ends.
circa 0 AGW - Mop up operations begin, armies search entire continent in order to kill every last remaining enemy. Galdeen historians puzzled at what to call the enemy since no records were found as to what they called themselves, so they were simply referred to as "The enemy".
circa 5 AGW - Mop up operations end. The enemy is now extinct.
circa 6 AGW - Maleeno, now a old man, suggests all empires unite to create a new world order, his words carried great power during the War and still does, all agree. The Galdeen Coalition is created with Bomica as it's capitol. and the Golden Age of Discovery begins.
circa 148 AGW - First true Ironclads are built and makes all other ships obsolete. Steam engines are also invented.
circa 300 - 400 AGW - New ideas and advances in medicine improve life all over Galieen.
circa 884 AGW - First air plane is tested. Revolutionizes travel.
circa 923 AGW - First radio invented.
circa 954 AGW - First satellite is sent into orbit called Discovery 1, starts making precise maps of Galieen.
circa 959 AGW - First Galdeen is sent up into orbit and orbits the planet in two hours, lands in the Eastern Ocean and is picked up by a military vessel a day after landing.
circa 963 AGW - First crew is sent toward Galieen's only moon. The crew make successful landing and Talgeen Milok is the first Galdeen to step on another planetary body.
circa 1092 AGW - First cylinder colony ships are sent to the Moon and nearby planets.
circa 1153 AGW - First Warp Drive invented. Construction of a Mark 1 Type 1 ship started. First orbital elevator constructed in Bomica.
circa 1155 AGW - Mark 1 Type 1 ship, S.S. Explorer finishes construction and begins Warp Drive test by warping to the outer planet where a cylinder ship awaits it. Test successful with no problems. More drives and Mark 1 Type 1 survey ships, and Type 2 colony ships begin construction.
circa 1161 AGW - Surrounding systems colonized. Contact made with other races.
circa 1203 AGW - 26 star systems colonized. Warp Gate network comes online.
circa 1225 AGW - 35 star systems colonized. Current year.
Wonder if I have the longest history yet. ;D
