Edit: the Gamingsteve thread is now merged with this one. The Pentekonterus live on the planet Kuuruk, which means "home." Their name itself means "successors," a reference to the fact that before their sapience, they lived under the watchful eye of another species. Sadly, these precursors are extinct. The Pentekonterus have a bit of a troubled history, a lot of division and war. But the one thing they all fear is the water. It is filled with all manner of unimaginable, savage, gigantic beasts that even the top land predators fear it. An interesting note is that the Pentekonterus' brains are located in a small area BEHIND their skulls, so as to free the skull for ramming and jaw muscles. They are currently split into 4 different groups: the Kabablu, or Nation of Kings, the Nirbalu, or Nation of Embers, the Balutar, or Swamp Nation, and the tribes of the central grasslands. Society differs widely between each nation. There are two continents on Kuuruk: Dalbis, or "place of the present", and Nulbis, or "place of the others." Dalbis is the one upon which the four groups sit, and Nulbis is home to a variety of feral beasts. it is even rumored that some Pentekonterus still live there, untouched by the changes of sapience. There will be more later. Attachments:

Should we bring back the dragon-killer? Not to discourage you Octo, but Hydro is pretty racist against dragons. But to each his own. If you can't at least give it a good background, then it's doomed to Hydro's whims.

And the Serlan. They were pretty dinosaur-ish to me.
I don't see how this is different though.

So... how any of you don't object to me posting this? I don't understand. BTW, any cultural info that's not common will go under a Nation Summary, which I'll add soon.

I think what most people object to is the fact that its not very original. One of the first things, in the pre-spore days, that people planned to make when spore came out were dragons and dinosaurs. As a result, many of the "my creature" threads composed of dragon-like organisms, or just plain dragons.
You should try creating an organism with a non-standard digestive system. That usually leads to interesting specialized organism that, while often obtaining cephalization, are completely alien.

At the very least, a more non-standard body configuration. It is, of course, your creature and you are free to do with it as you will, but try to make it stand out in some way. Make it unique.

Thanks for the pics! I like what was done with the Kratair. Of course, I feel dumb for not knowing about either of those guys before I made my creature. EDIT: I thought you guys noticed the "all fingers are opposable." For me, it's the subtle things that make something alien. ... Nobody read the attachment, did they?

No offense, but that's not really that alien.

How constructive Raz. Really nice...
Or, you know, I can delete your account. I probably could be doing you a favor, since, you know, we have crappy creatures here. I guess you'd be wasting your time here and all.
